CMHA has 14 rental assistance units through USDA Rural Development Multi-Family Housing, and 2 non rental assistance units. The HUD projects are all rental-assistance units. There are a total of 79 apartments on the property. The apartments offer 1 bedroom with carpet and are equipped with stove and refrigerator. Laundry facilities are on-site for the convenience of the residents. All maintenance and utilities are provided.
When offered an apartment all paperwork documentation is required to be eligible to move into a unit. This includes social security card, birth certificate and driver’s license.

Your age must be 62 or older, or handicapped/disabled.
Your gross income for USDA is not over $35,850 for one person and $41,000.00 for 2 persons. HUD is not over $35,850.00 for one person and $41,000.00 for 2 persons. If over, applicant would qualify for the unsubsidized apartments.
CHA maintains two waiting lists, USDA and HUD. If you are 62 or older you will be placed on both lists. If you are disabled and under 62 you only qualify for the USDA waiting list. Upon turning 62, one can then apply and also placed on the HUD property’s waiting list. At that time, the applicant will be on both waiting lists.
